New Year's in Alaska

Well, another year has gone. Man, it was one of those years. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Some of those best and worst times are going to carry over into 2012, but such is life. I am looking forward to handling those times better the second time around.

Something else has carried over from 2011. COLD! It is currently -4 in Anchorage. It got down to -30 at the family cabin this weekend. Brrr.

Most of the time I am sad to leave the cabin but I can safely say this time I was ready! My house may be on the cold side, but not nearly as cold as the cabin- and my blankets at the house are much cozier than the cabin blankets. Which reminds me, I should make a couple new blankets to bring over. Yes, yes I think I should.
