Ready to Shake it Out

It has been quite the fall. Not only in a sense of seasonal change but also in the sense that I have fallen emotional over the last few months.

I was so happy to finally see the snow fall. Again, fall. It must be my theme for 2011. As I look out the window this morning I see a beautiful snow covered city with a hot pink sky over the mountains. Hopefully a sign that more snow is on the way.

I want the winter snow to bury this year for good. So much pain, so much sadness and loss. A challenge to say the least. But with that has come so much growth, so much togetherness. I know more now than ever before who my friends are, how strong my family is, how strong I am.

As 11/11/11 rapidly approaches I reflect on what this year has given me and I prepare to shake it out, shake it off and come out on the other side a little lighter, a little brighter, a little older, a little wiser and a lot closer to my dear friends and family.
